I checked the various packages available for xFree86 in dselect and
they give the following:
qqqqqqq Available Optional packages in section x11-system qqqqqqq
__ Opt x11-syst rman <none> 3.0.9-2 Generalized
filter for UNIX manual pages
__ Opt x11-syst system-libgl <none> 1.2-3 Placeholder
package for manually installed OpenGL libraries
__ Opt x11-syst system-xfree <none> 4.2-1 Placeholder
package for manually installed XFree86
__ Opt x11-syst system-xtool <none> 1.0-7 Placeholder
package for manually installed Xtools
__ Opt x11-syst tightvnc <none> 1.2.3-1 Enhanced version
of VNC.
__ Opt x11-syst vnc <none> 3.3.3r2-5 Remote display
system for X11.
qqqqqqq Available Optional packages in section x11-wm qqqqqqq
system-xfree86 not installed ; purge (was: purge). Optional
system-xfree86 - Placeholder package for manually installed XFree86
Does this mean I have to install ALL the above to get a functioning
xFree86? Note it tells me I don't have the system installed in spite of
installing the base yesterday.
