If you installed xfree86-base, then you don't need to install 
xfree86-rootless:  it's for people who install XFree86 by other means than 
fink.

This is true for all of the various "system-foo" packages.  They are 
placeholders or symbolic links to "foo" that is already on the system by 
means other than fink.
