[Fink-beginners] grass catch 22

I have tried several times to install grass the gis program.

I got a message

freetype2-hinting-shlibs conflicts with freetype2-shlibs
freetype2-shlibs (version 2.0.9-1) is to be installed.
dpkg: error processing /sw/fink/dists/unstable/main/binary-darwin-powerpc/graphics/freetype2- shlibs_2.0.9-1_darwin-powerpc.deb (--install):
conflicting packages - not installing freetype2-shlibs

so I thought I would just delete freetype2-hinting-shlibs but then I got the following message. "Catch 22"

dpkg: dependency problems prevent removal of freetype2-hinting-shlibs:
graphviz depends on freetype2-shlibs; however:

I suppose this means I will have to delete graphviz as well. Before I do this has anyone gotten grass to install via Fink? The times I tried it earlier it just hung in the middle of a complie process.
