Hallo all of you, I would like to know the best way to get GIMP to work. That is my first goal . But, I get "stuck", somewhere , or having the feeling I'm doing something wrong, but I din't know what....
First I tried to do everything through Fink. But that gave me problems with installing XFree86. My last attempt was like this. I installed Xfree86 with manual Downloaded installers. XInstall_10.1 ---> XFree86_4.2.0.1-10.2 ---> XFree86_4.2.1.1 After that I made installs through fink and running them in the terminal. Installed GTK and Gimp. Also running them in the terminal.. This worked But now when I want install a program like kdebase3 through Fink I get this: What is wrong..? Isn't X11 on the right place? Or not configured yet and how to do that.. Should I stay with Fink while installing stuff, and not running it in the Terminal? Am I doing some Basic stuff wrong? What to do to get things right..
