[Fink-beginners] how to turn off cvs

I turned on CVS in fink and cannot find instructions to turn it off. I realize that the installed packages will not revert to a point release, but would like to do so anyway. Running selfupdate-cvs simply runs self update and no longer gives me the option to choose cvs or non cvs.
