You can rename, move or delete /sw/fink/CVS--normally people just rename
files/folders that aren't too big, so they are easy to put back if they
are wanted later.

Fink will use the whatever .info and .patch files are on your system as of
right now.

The subsequent remark isn't directed at Bradley in particular, but for
readers of this list, to avoid a possible source of confusion:

I've made this point before, but let me reiterate:  CVS does not
necessarily mean unstable.  Frequently new versions of packages get
moved to stable, and you can get them with "selfupdate-cvs", but still not
have unstable turned on.  On the other hand, without CVS access enabled,
you can get such packages only when binaries are made or another point
release is made.
