I've just installed X11 and fink, and used the latter to grab gtk-2 and gothello. Now I'm trying to understand all this; it's a scary new world for an old Mac user like me.

I've discovered that I can get gothello to run by first opening a Terminal within X11, and typing "gothello". But if I try to customize my X11 Applications menu and add "gothello" to it, then choosing this command has no effect. I also found that typing gothello in a regular Terminal window (as opposed to an xterm window) doesn't work; I get "Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:".

Can anyone explain how I would go about setting up gothello as a command in my X11 Applications menu? Or how I could successfully launch it from Terminal?

Thanks,
- Joe
