I see - well the table indicates the download progress - so either you've set the reporting of fink to a level that doesn't tell you it is downloading, or you didn't download anything! Do you know if you have "fink configure" set to verbose? If you don't then perhaps you could set it by running "fink configure" and answering the questions. The defaults are probably Ok but when it gets to

(1)  Quiet (don't show download stats)
(2)  Low (don't show tarballs being expanded)
(3)  Medium (shows almost everything)
(4)  High (shows everything)

How verbose should Fink be? [4]

choose 4.

then try it all again... hopefully you might uncover a problem - sorry this is a bit tedious - if anyone else has any suggestions, chime in! I've got to go home... Cheers, David.
