Hi guys,

I am trying to install LaTeX via FinkCommander (0.5), but I am failing miserably. My fink installation is : Package manager version: 0.11.1, Distribution version: 0.5.0a.
And I have to admit I am a total beginner to fink. The only think I installed was ghostscript, and although it said it failed, it seems to work ok.

Anyway, I would like to install LaTeX, so I can combine it via the command line with the great auctex emacs package. So I started fink commander, search for tetex, and found the 'bundle-tetex' package, which seems to be exactly what I want. I then tried to install it with the "install binary package", but it is failing because of dependencies. I thought fink was supposed to handle that?

If you want more details, here is the output given by FinkCommander:
--------------------------------
Reading Package Lists...
Building Dependency TE: Unmet dependencies. Try 'apt-get -f install' with no packages (or specify a solution).

You might want to run `apt-get -f install' to correct these:
Sorry, but the following packages have unmet dependencies:
bundle-tetex: Depends: tetex-texmf (>= 1.0.2-5)
Depends: tetex-base (>= 1.0-12)

Depends: dvipdfm (>= 0.13.2c-7) but it is not going to be installed
ghostscript6: Depends: x11

I tried to read the FAQ, but I didnt find anything interesting. Does someone know what I am doing wrong? Can anyone help?
Thanks a lot

Alexis
