I think that more or less does it.

You imagined it.  It uses ~/.xinitrc.  I believe it didn't used to
(prior to beta 3) use /etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc in the absence of a user
.xinitrc file, but that seems no longer to be the case.

Not as far as I can tell--check out the OroborOSX forums to see what the

This _can_ be made to work.  If you're interested I'll let you know
offlist:  Fink doesn't officially endorse such measures.
