Well, the reason why I tried fink update-all, is that I wanted to update
the KDE package to the new 3.1 version. This is what I get:

sudo /sw/bin/fink update-all

Do you want to continue? [Y/n]

It does appear that most of the packages which need apdating are the
KDE related ones, but indeed for some reason fink is trying to install
tetex-base, tetex-shlibs and tetex-texmf as additional packages. It
seems to me that non of the other packages may require tetex to be
installed.

However, looking through the list of the additional packages, I
noticed doxygen. I don't know what doxygen is doing on the list,
I never used it before. Maybe doxygen needs tetex? Can I get rid
of doxygen from that list? Thanks. Cheers, Miklos.

It's not that fink is trying to install hyperref, it't that fink is
trying to install tetex-texmf. If you have a manual TeX, you shouldn't
have tetex-texmf.

Does some package want you to install tetex but not system-tetex?

Hi, I am trying to run fink update-all, but dpkg always fails at the

already three times. Also run fink selfupdate-cvs each time, just
to be sure. Here is the message:

For some reason fink tries to install hyperref. I have installed manually
tetex and tetex-texmf months ago and my hyperref package is in: /usr/local/

I am running OS 10.2.4 and the latest Fink (freshly updated this week).
Thanks for any help. Cheers, Miklos.
