I tried removing ghostscript6 using, as Alexander suggested,
"sudo dpkg -r --force-depends ghostscript6"
Then I did an update-all with the following results, which is
why I got interrupted in the first place, because it can't seem
to find libxml2-2.5.4.tar.bz2 anywhere. I've changed the
mirrors in the configuration file many times with the same
results. This behavior started before the ghostscript6 problem.
Am I doing something wrong?

Failed: Internal error: node for ghostscript6 already exists
Maybe you get more information on what is happenening if you do the update-all while ghostscript6 is *not* installed.
