You can't get OO via fink.
Imagemagick is a collection of command-line programs, see
http://www.imagemagick.org/www/utilities.html
As an example, navigate to some image fig1.jpg in the terminal and type
display fig1.jpg &
Of course you need to have X11 running.
Then click on the image and a menu will appear with various editing and
transformation functions.
