[Fink-beginners] Email Server

I am setting up a little server in my house. I would like to see if I 
can run all the essential services through the Mac side, before I 
resort to Linux. Is there a email server solution for Mac OS X/X11? I 
have heard of sendmail, but what I have read it sounds like a email 
client for command line. Is there anything out there that will do the 
trick? Thanks for the help.
