Which programs specifically?  I've built all of KDE and dependencies (both
the stable and unstable versions) as well as several others without any
problems.  Other than that though, my requirements are fairly low.

Of note, in my case, I had previously installed 4.2.1.1 from the XonX
installer and the relevant system-xfree86.  I then erased
/Applications/XDarwin, /usr/X11R6, and /etc/X11 and put 4.3 in.  So Fink
never really noticed the upgrade (although I have upgraded
system-xfree86 since).

For me, for now, this works, although it apparently is not yet an approved
process.
