Well, that didn't help.

I find this very bizarre. "Illegal instruction" on both builds of gnupg gnupg-1.2.1-2 and gnupg-1.2.2-2

Any hints as to how to debug this would be very much appreciated...

You need the .info and .patch files that go with the 1.2.1 tarball, too.
These have been pulled out of circulation, but I've attached copies.

Copy the attached files over to /sw/fink/10.2/local/main/finkinfo, then
do "fink index". Finally, run "fink install gnupg-1.2.1-2"

I'm not quite sure how to follow the instructions. I have..

smithp01-51> fink rebuild gnupg-1.2.1-2
Information about 2796 packages read in 1 seconds.

Failed: no matching version found for gnupg

Clearly missing something...

btw: I have the unstable path in my config, and when I did a rebuild,
earlier, I got ...

The following package will be rebuilt:
  gnupg
mkdir -p /sw/src/gnupg-1.2.2-2

So I as rebuilding the latest I think.

I've got the .info and .patch file for 1.2.1-2 in a backup directory,
if you
want them. If you put them in your local tree and run "fink index",
then
you can install this version with

fink install gnupg-1.2.1-2

Also, do you have 1.2.2-1 or 1.2.2-2? The latter is available via
unstable.

I have rebuilt gnupg-1.2.2 several times and I get the same result. A
crash when I run it.

This is a major pain, since I think it was working in 1.2.1.

I still have the gzipped tar for 1.2.1. How do I get it back?

More important question, how do I get a working 1.2.2 version.
