I'm not sure exactly why storable-pm-1.0.14-1 shows up as obsolete but is listed as the latest version (after a binary distro upgrade)
"storable-pm5" is presumably a truncation of the name "storable-pm561", if that's the one you were trying to install, and that would be why the system was complaining that you need Perl 5.6.1.
How about "sudo apt-get install storable-pm560"? That should work, unless something is way confused.

Hmm. Is that 1.014-6 for storable-pm, or for storable-pm560? Here's the version info (as per the package database)
storable-pm 1.0.14-6
I didn't see [or notice] the above in the dselect version. Which section would it be in?
It should be in libs/perlmods. However, it's just a placeholder.
Well, this is starting to confuse me. "storable-pm" [version -1] is still shown as being obsolete by dselect, while apt-get still says it's the newest version! I also have a "storable-pm5" [version -3]... I don't see the -6 anywhere in the dselect interface. If i manually installed perl 5.6.1, would that help, or would that just get me a 3rd version of storable-pm? Wait, the below-named can no longer be seen from dselect, either. What's going on, here?
storable-pm560 1.0.14-3 storable-pm561 1.0.14-3
