The easiest way is to start Xwindows, then run an xterm or other X terminal (not the OSX Terminal): this will automatically set the DISPLAY for you. You can also put "setenv DISPLAY :0" in your .cshrc, but then you have to be sure to start Xwindows.

I tried gnect just now and didn't have any problems. What version of gnome-games ("fink list gnome-games") do you have?

That worked. Thanks! Is there a setting I can change so it happens
automatically and I don't have to run that command every time?
Glines worked but gnect had another problem and I am wondering if it is
because fink has its own "special" directory. The error was

gnect: error: required file not found (/usr/share/gnect/white_ob.cn4)

Thanks for your help,
Jeremy
