[Fink-beginners] Using Unstable

I've read the FAQ regarding how to install unstable versions of 
software ( http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-fink.php#unstable ). I 
did as told -- hack fink.conf, rebuild the index, etc -- but no 
unstable files show up in fink's master list.

Though I fixed the 'Basepath' problem I reported yesterday, I'm still 
unable to install lilypond 2 because NO unstable software is 
acknowledged. What am I doing wrong?
