[Fink-beginners] fink update-all fails

I am able to fink selfupdate with no errors. XTools are installed with 0s 10.3.  Several attempts to update-all results in failure. See readout. Both kde and gnome are broken. Kde freezes the machine and Gnome has no icons but otherwise works. Any help would be appreciated or should I wait until some of the Fink packages are adapted to Panther?
