I told people to use a symlink to Panther's builtin dlfcn.h and libdl.dylib, but the first one may not be necessary. I'll look into it.

I don't know if there is a FAQ entry on this yet, but all the others who had this this problem solved it by moving /usr/local/include/dlfcn.h out of the way.
Actually, I am pretty sure you can destroy it, because
a) It shouldn't have been installed in the first place (by Openoffice presumably
b) As a header, it is only useful for compiling, and there it gives failur, because it is incompatible with Panther's own copy in /usr/include.
