This brings up a question I've been meaning to ask, does it matter which shell you use when using fink?

I know panther defaults to bash now, right? Does it follow that a jaguar user should move to bash or is this not recommended? Are there special steps that a jaguar user must take to use bash for fink commands besides invoking the shell?

Versions higher than 2.2.1-4 are in both stable and unstable in the
10.2-gcc3.3 tree. Try another "fink selfupdate" and throw in a "fink
index" for good measure, and see if that helps.

Benjamin, thanks for the quick reply. I tried your suggestions and no changes:

[EMAIL PROTECTED] download]$ sudo fink selfupdate
Password:
I will now run the rsync command to retrieve the latest package
descriptions.
