./sw/bin/init.sh in ~/.profile
vs
source /sw/bin/init.csh in ~/.cshrc
You can have both setups simultaneously.

I know panther defaults to bash now, right? Does it follow that a jaguar user should move to bash or is this not recommended? Are there special steps that a jaguar user must take to use bash for fink commands besides invoking the shell?
