Hi, just tried to install Fink 0.62 on a fresh cube with Panther, but I can't get it to work - I get the following error when I try to run Fink and "[U]pdate package list":
Can't exec "/usr/bin/nm": No such file or directory at /sw/lib/perl5/Fink/VirtPackage.pm line 234.
This is because /usr/bin/nm comes from the Developer Tools--this should just be a warning.
/sw/lib/dpkg/methods/apt/update: line 1: apt-config: command not found
apt-config, on the other hand, should be installed as part of the apt package. Did you run the pathsetup.command script from the installer to set your Fink environment up correctly?
update available list script returned error exit status 127.
What is wrong here? Any help would be appreciated.
