It's kind of like what you do for using an unstable package:

starting with the section "If you only want one or two specific packages...", except that you copy the .info and .patch files from the 10.2-gcc3.3 tree over to 10.3/local
I read your URL and I have one question: With the next self-update, will fink move the info files back to unstable? Do you have to keep making the changes over every time you self-update?
