<AKH> Admittedly, though, FAQ 4.15, which deals with "Command not found" issues is outdated and also doesn't deal with having a different PATH in Terminal.app and in an xterm under X11.app. In this case, one can solve the problem by editing the Terminal menu item in X11 and change "xterm" to "xterm -ls".
I will not repeat for the 101st time what is written in the FAQs, instead I suggest you try the following command from your Terminal.app command line
open-x11 xmahjongg
you don't even have to start X11 before doing this, it is started automatically when necessary.
(But you might also want to read some of Fink's documentation about running X11).
<AKH> Which doesn't include the xterm fix.
I would appreciate if others reading this thread who are running Apple's X11 (I can't switch over right now because my CD's are out on loan) could let me know whether sourcing init.sh in your .xinitrc is sufficient to give you the correct PATH in xterm without using "xterm -ls"
