Hello all,
I wondered if anybody knew what I can do about the following error that seems to crop up when I try installing both emacs21 and Imagemagick. It seems that I have previously installed the system-xfree86 (v 4.2-13) and that when fink tries to install xfree86 (v 4.3.99.16-2?) it stops with a conflict error (as listed below). well, at least that's what I understand from the error messages! Do I need to remove the system-xfree86 (v 4.2-13) and then re-install the new version? If I do this, will I brake any of the previously installed packages? I currently use the X11 windowing system from Apple to run all my unix programs that need X windows to display.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
Look at http://fink.sourceforge.net/faq/usage-packages.php?phpLang=en#apple- x11-wants-xfree86
