Has anyone experienced a Finder Help menu crash after
having FinkCommander install a program?
I am running a G4 with 10.3.3 and upon discovered
accessing the Help View via Help on the menu bar will
load then crash. After several attempts to correct, I
created a new login. The help menu worked fine in
this login - I double checked.
Being new to Fink, I was not sure where to find the
executable for GNUCash so I attempted to reinstall
using FinkCommander. This did not work but did crash
my Finder's Help menu again :{
I have since discoved where the GNUCash executable
resides and also resolved the help menu issue by
copying the "Help Viewer" from the Sytems/Library/Core
Services to my dock. It works fine from there.
Now that I am functional, anyone have any ideas or
educated guesses on what file was altered or changed
to cause this situation?
