As the subject says, I am unable to run selfupdate, either from the command line or from FinkCommander. The error says that -t/-f wrappers not supported. I am running OS 10.3.3, fink .70.0 and I have the latest version of XCode installed. Any idea what I need to do to get it to work? Thanks.
Mike
Can you paste the literal error message, along with the context?

Here's what I got when I ran selfupdate-cvs in FinkCommander:
Please note: the command 'fink selfupdate' should be used for routine
updating; you only need to use 'fink selfupdate-cvs' or 'fink
selfupdate-rsync' if you are changing your update method.
I will now run the cvs command to retrieve the latest package descriptions. After that, the core packages will be updated right away; you should then update the other packages using commands like 'fink update-all'.
cvs -q -z3 update -d -P ? stamp-rel-0.6.2 . . . ? 10.3/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-system/xfree86-base.patch ? 10.3/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/sawfish-1.1-16.info ? 10.3/unstable/main/finkinfo/x11-wm/startup-notification.info cvs [update aborted]: -t/-f wrappers not supported by this version of CVS ### execution of cvs failed, exit code 1 Failed: Updating using CVS failed. Check the error messages above.
I get the same error if I just try selfupdate.

I couldn't duplicate your error on my machine, which also has XCode 1.2
installed. What do you get if you run "cvs -v" and "which cvs" ?

Here's what I get:
~> cvs -v
Concurrent Versions System (CVS) 1.10 `Halibut' (client/server)

Specify the --help option for further information about CVS
~> which cvs /usr/bin/cvs ~>
Does this help? Mike
Well, you're not using some weird version of the cvs executable, What version of the fink package manager (e.g. via "fink --version" do you have)? There may be some hitherto unknown update bug going on.
