Ben, congratulations on doing all that porting work.

Is there any chance of updates to gramps beyond 0.8.0 on Mac OS X
10.2, specifically binary updates?

Am I right in thinking that grmps beyond 0.8.0 is dependent on
GNOME2, (is it critically dependent) and am I right in thinking that
GNOME2 has not been ported to Mac OS X 10.3 (but only to 10.3)? Is it
going to be?

The current 0.8.0 is quite a long way out of date: I have tried
importing a GEDCOM file, and it is not good but there is supposed to
be a continual stream of improvements to import in the later
versions. It would be niceto get up to the 1.0.x versions.

(Python 2.3 would be nice because it has the universal text reading,
which is useful for GEDCOM files produced on the Mac with the Mac
line ending convention, but not really essennnntial as there are apps
to do the conversion).

So, is there any chance?

regards,
Tim Lyons
