 I used the command:

to change permissions so that I could smooth the fonts in KDE. Now I
cannot run OpenOffice. I have always saved my session in KDE so that it
starts automatically when I start an X11 session. Occasionally I needed
to restart Ooo if I shut down and I would do so in rootless mode so
that I could access it from OSX on the dock, then I'd log out and
restart X11 in full screen and Ooo would start up. Now I cannot use
that method either and I get a "Could not launch X window server:
 X11.app" error message.
Did running the above command mess me up?
I really need Ooo as most of my business is on it.

Hmmm... I can't help you there - I don't use OpenOffice. It does seem
weird that changing ownership of ~/.qt would make it to where x11 won't
start. I didn't have that experience with the Apple x11 that came with
OS X 10.3. Maybe someone else out there will have an idea, or, assuming
that you're using the Apple x11, you might ask on the Apple x11 mailing
list. Information about that mailing list can be found at
