No reason not to use the apple X11 on Panther.
The xtools on the disk will probably need to upgrade using Software update. But that is OK. I'm using xtools 1.2 on some machines and 1.1 on others. No issues with either.

I have changed my computer to a G4 iBook and decided that since my old Fink system was over full, I would start from scratch and just build the packages I really need.

I am running 10.3.4 from the new disks provided for the new ibook and updated (X11 no longer included). Although I have the old panther c d's with Apple,s X11, I wonder if I should use a different Xfree86. The new Xtools seems to have a version and there is the late Source forge version.

I would appreciate any advice on this before gojng ahead.
