whenever i try to do any source update — selfupdate-rsync, selfupdate-cvs, selfupdate, or update-all — it starts running through most of the lines, then i always get the same error in the same place —>>

i have already done scanpackages several times, i've updated to the november 2004 release at the apple developer site of gcc to fix the error you get saying there are errors compiling in c++, which i don't get any more, binary apt-gets work fine, i've restarted after trying all these things, and still get the same "" error every time. i'm running fink package manager version 0.23.3, and distribution version 0.7.1.rsync. i'm running gcc version 3.3 20030304 (Apple Computer, Inc. build 1671).
any idea why this keeps happening? will i ever be able to update source again?
any help would be appreciated. please advise.
