I also just tried to run kde desktop and got the same message only
nothing shows on the screen and Xorg quits when I hit OK on the error
box.????
Hello,
Off to Costa Rica in about 1 hour but..
Last night I updated koffice after getting qt3-3.3.3-26 installed with
much help from Alexander. Everything worked fine but when I ran a Gnome
session this morning, no kde apps would open. I got an error message
that said "make sure your dcopserver program is running" so I ran
'dcopserver' in xterm and tried again but still no dice. Any ideas on this?
I'll check back in 2 weeks.
Thanks
