Hi.
After running 'fink selfupdate' and 'fink update-all' the command (and the programm) 'xpdf' disappeared.
But 'fink list | less' shows with an "i" that the program is installed.
So I tried to compile the source from '/sw/src/xpdf-3.00.tar.gz' and I got the following error message after running './configure':
--
config.status: aconf.h is unchanged
configure: WARNING: Couldn't find X / Motif -- you will be able to compile
pdftops, pdftotext, pdfinfo, pdffonts, pdftoppm, and pdfimages,
but not xpdf
--
I am using fink's "xfree86 4.4.0-14" and "xfree86-shlibs 4.4.0-14" and I have installed "openmotif3 2.2.3-11" and "openmotif3-shlibs 2.2.3-11".
(By the way: I have a PowerBook ALU with "Mac OS X.3.7", 'fink -- version' shows:
--
Package manager version: 0.23.5
Distribution version: 0.7.1.rsync
--
).
Some newsgroup say that installing "xfree86-dev" should fix this problem, but fink has no "xfree86-dev" and 'fink install x11-dev' says
"Failed: no version info available for x11-dev" (and by the way: it worked fine with the previous version of fink and xpdf, so why should I need to install new packages?).
Can anybody give me some hints how to solve this problem?
Greetings, Marcus
