(you left out the '.' before local  and checked the webpost as well, which 
had the period. I ran:

~/.local/share/Trash
[Brian-OKeefes-Computer:~/.local/share] brianoke% ls
Trash  applications

so now there's trash but when I try to move an item to trash I still get the 
error 'can't create /sw/share/Trash'. How do I get the trash "action" to 
locate the directory @ '~/.local/share/Trash'?
