Day or so I "succeeded" in doing a fink selfupdate and update-all on 10.3.9.

Approximately since then whenever I attempt to open some files (not all files, I think) xemacs crashes while fontifying the file.

I tried starting with xemacs -q (no init file) and can open, for instance init.el, but not custom.el?
I did set debug--on-error, but it still goes away.

I sent a bug report to [EMAIL PROTECTED] If it would be helpful, I can send it to you, too.
It includes the output of a lisp dump and the CrashReporter dump.

For what it's worth, the Carbonized GnuEmacs.app is NOT crashing (at least not yet).

I'm using the "standard" Apple X11 -- I have been seeing plenty o xterm crashes...

Do we need a new xemacs-sumo build in the stable tree?
