The package database;
http://fink.sourceforge.net/pdb/list.php
finds all the packages in all of the distributions (10.1, 10.2, 10.3,
10.4), whereas your own list is probably more accurate for Tiger.
How about posting your error message? With 4000+ packages, I'd be
willing to bet you aren't missing any available Fink packages.
