Hello,

OK, I found a file called .profile in my home dir that had the "." in the middle
of the line, so I moved that to the end, so it now looks like this:

test -r /sw/bin/init.sh &&  /sw/bin/init.sh .

I don't see a .bashrc file in my home dir.

and I updated fink with fink selfupdate to get the updated docbook-xsl , was
this the right thing to do?

However, when I type fink install pygtk2-py23 I still get the following error
messages:

fink needs help picking an alternative to satisfy a virtual dependency. The
candidates:

(1) pango1-shlibs: I18N text handling system convinience package
(2)      pango1-xft2-shlibs: GTK+ - i18n text shared libraries: for XFree86 (>=

so I think it still may have somethin to do with the cp binary. But what is the
error install: unknown option -d ?

Many Thanks,

Simon.
