Then, whether you selfupdated or not, reinstall the fink package using fink rebuild fink, and follow that with another fink selfupdate.

Hi..

I just upgraded to Tiger (10.4.1) and am trying to get my fink packages upgraded...

I did the following (instructions from homepage for fink)

    fink selfupdate
    fink scanpackages
    sudo apt-get update

which all appeared to go well.

Then I did

    fink update-all

and a few packages correctly installed, but then it got to "expat" during which I got a syntax error

gcc -no-cpp-precomp -I/sw/include -I./lib -I. -g -O2 -Wall - Wmissing-prototypes -Wstrict-prototypes -fexceptions - DHAVE_EXPAT_CONFIG_H -o xmlwf/xmlwf.o -c xmlwf/xmlwf.c
xmlwf/xmlwf.c:24: error: parse error before "characterData"

[and lots more snipped]

Anyone with any clues?

Thanks

gordon
