1) If I have recently updated several hundred packages, I will want to send positive feedback to the maintainers, but I only want to send feedback on the packages that are in unstable and only for those packages that I have not already sent feedback for. It would be nice to have an automatically generated feedback message with a customizable note which provides appropriate environment info so the maintainer knows which tree you are using and which tools you have. Possibly the maintainer can put information s/he wants into the fink package so that the feedback yields appropriate info according to the package maintainer's needs.

2) When I have free time, I look for unstable packages to (test) build as a light-duty way to help contribute to the overall project. Being able to sort the list of packages in such a way as to find uninstalled, unstable packages which are in need of testing (that is, they have a newer version than the version in the stable tree -- if one exists) would be nice.

3) This could be a configuration issue, but I seem to recall that cutting and pasting text from FCs window resulted in loss of CR/LF, like what happens when I cut and paste from a 'screen' session. (If someone wants to tell me how to make screen stop doing this, I'd be grateful.)

4) Keeping installation logs that automatically roll over would be good.

That's all off the top of my head; maybe something else will come to me later.

Luck :-)

Robert
