Well, this is the result of about 1 hour of compiling:
t_config_file.cpp: In function `bool test_gconf()':
t_config_file.cpp:99: error: parse error before `+' token
Yes, I get this now too, on a 10.4-transitional system. The good
news is that on the future 10.4 (non-transitional) system, this
does not happen. Another good news is that if you rebuild stardict,
compilation will be much faster, because all dependencies are
already built and installed.
You can do the following: Edit the stardict.info file and add a line
SetCXX: g++-4.0
This should make the compilation go through. Aanother possibility
would be to disable the test that causes the error (the error is in
a test, after everything got built).
I tried to understand what is going on with this error, but got
hopelessly lost in the tangle of C++ "string" classes.

OK, now I get these two errors at the end of 'make'
make[3]: Nothing to be done for `all-am
<snip>
make[2]: Nothing to be done for `all-am'.
Is this the way it should be?
Cheers,
Brian
