Looking at a couple of libraries, that appears to be the case.

_no_ fink packages have been built as universal. Currently work is
ongoing to assess which packages build on Intel boxes, but for Fink
there's not much utility in packaging them as such, as the Debian
tools recognize individual architecturs.

Some application developers might be interested in using Fink- installed libraries to build universal apps on PPC. In that case, they do need a universal library. That's how I came to ask the question.

If you ask on -devel you may get some information, but only for your
own build-by-hand usage, since we're not hopping on the Universal
bandwagon.

Hey, any help would be greatly appreciated, so I will ask.

Thanks,

Wade
