I've been pretty successful with X11 and Fink on my new Intel iMac, but I'm not able to get past a glitch that apparently concerns an executable called fc-cache that resides in /usr/X11R86/bin. During the setting-up step for xorg, the error refers to that file and contains the message "Segmentation fault". I can double-click that file in the Finder, and the same message appears in the new Terminal window that launches. I tried getting the executable from a working xorg installation on a PPC, but then the error message changes to indicate that the executable is made for the wrong architecture. I've tried installing other font related packages to see if another one might install the executable, because the file is installed during the unpacking step of xorg installation, and isn't overwritten if it already exists. Is there another package that might install a working version of the file? Thanks.
