more /private/etc/crontab

Look for a line that looks like this:

# 30 5 1 * * root periodic monthly

Is it there at all? Does it have the '#' in front or not?

The file looks as following:

-------------
# The periodic and atrun jobs have moved to launchd jobs
# See /System/Library/LaunchDaemons
#
# minute hour mday month wday who command
-------------

If the file doesn't exist, let me know. Also take a look at the cron manpage ('man cron').

I know that is a proper thing to do, but I'm to tired now.
I'm going on holiday for a week. After that, I'll return to this topic.

Thanks,
Zina
