Hi,

I've installed Apple's X11. It's rendering opentype fonts in OS X way.
I need to use Bangla fonts in openoffice/firefox etc. I have some
opentype Bangla fonts installed in OS X. But the rendering for OSX is
not supported yet with these fonts. While OS X also recognizes
OpenType layout tables, it uses a different rendering engine (ATSUI),
and these fonts are written for Microsoft's engine (called Uniscribe).
However, linux can render these fonts well! My question is whether
XFree86 from fink will render opentype fonts same way Apple's X11 does
or not. If it renders as I want how to uninstall Apple's X11. Is it
enough to delete /usr/X11R6, /etc/X11 and /Application/X11.app? I
really want to have a solution for it. Otherwise I have to install
linux for Bangla support and my iMac G5 isn't fully supported by any
linux distro for the moment (sound driver, fan control issues :( ).
Please help!
