Did you remove the XFree86-installed XDarwin.app before you installed
xorg?  Move or remove that and then try "fink reinstall xorg" to get
the proper version.

Xorg on OS X doesn't use xorg.conf.

You won't be able to--the OS X build doesn't support it yet.
