Exactly. It does not make any sense, but this is what happens to me.
It is very weird indeed and I cannot figure out a reason for this
beaviour, though I must admit I am a newbie in both MacOSX and Fink,
so there must be something I am not aware of...

Nope... I did not know about anything else... can you please explain,
give more details?
