Michèle, I don't understand: Libxslt is the XSLT C library developed for the Gnome project. I would like to get a binary of xsltproc to run under Darwin/Mac OSX 10.4 rather than having to go through the process of compiling the C files.
Does such a binary exist?

You may install libxslt via Fink. It provides xsltproc as an XSLT processor.

For XSL_FO processor, you may also install fop via Fink. You should also install fop-offo.

But to ensure you have all to process DocBook xml files and render them to any format, it's better to install docbook-dtd and docbook-xsl via Fink, then you'd customize the stylesheets.

If you want to process DocBook sgml files, then it's better to install docbook-bundle, docbook-utils, and probably tetex for jadetex customization.
