Hi all
I am a new user with very little experience with UNIX system and Fink.
I am trying to run bleufish but I face a few problems which i don't
have the knowledge to solve. I anyone could help me a bit it would be
great appreciated.
I have installed FINK update my binary list and have install bluefish.
However when I tried to run from terminal it responds with the message
" panther:~ alex$ bluefish
(bluefish:6220): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:"
I searched in the FAQ and read in Q8.6 that I should start X and set
correctly my display environment by typing "export DISPLAY=:0". Well i
did this but the error persisted, so I read further and removed the
apple's X11 in order to install xfree86. I think i managed this as in
Fink Commander i see the following list

However the problem continued... I have also tried to run bluefish from
the X11(Apple's and xfree86) and the error I get is the following :

OK..... that is as far as i can go alone... I have no idea now about
pango-engine... it more reminds me of a fruit than something more
useful. Probably I am not doing something right or i am forgetting
something... So if anyone is able to help me I would be delighted.
